ZOUK WARDROBLINGS 2009.

To conclude, it was a mess. It’s common sense, if it is not a raised platform you should not have the audience too close. The ‘models’ were walking fast as if a Tsunami was about to strike any minute. I was standing too close to the runway; everything was so quick I didn’t have time to scan the outfit. All I see was big animal heads crashing onto each other. It was a comedy, everyone was laughing.

My post seems to be personal because I couldn’t analyze the clothes and I don’t even know who or what went on the second part of the show. Funny make up, funky lighting, that’s all I could see. I see lights flashing on the clothes many time in a single second, I can’t appreciate the clothes like how I would in other shows. I can’t see the form of the garment or minor details that usually excites me. I see nothing.

I’ve been to many such events but this one left a bad impression. I wasn’t the only one complaining. It was rather ‘humiliating’ experience for me because we had troubles at the door, we had to ask everyone around for directions and everyone seems clueless. We had to find our way to the ‘VIP’ area minutes after the show started, only to see that the view was block by lightings and LCD screens. I gave up. No refreshments, nothing.

In an event like this, organizers should limit the attendees. There were so many irrelevant people there that people who wants to do coverage can’t. (Did u see the girl texting? She clearly doesn’t give a damn about the event) I’d rather have a small showcase with all the media/press, industry people and some attendee rather that a huge crowd of god-knows-who flocking everywhere. I’ll give credits to the PR people, great job. (Huiyi, another friendly girl at the door, one tall (malay) guy and another girl who approached me at the bar, you guys are really kind and resourceful. Thank you so much!!) The talents are amazing but I wished the event could be better.

I’ll blog about each individual designer separately in the next post.

LADY GAGA, SINGTEL AMPED SHOWCASE.

Gaga put a happy face to Ridhwan’s Disko Stiq at the Singtel Amped Lady Gaga showcase! The ‘partner in crime’ brought us pictures! I’m envious and pictures alone won’t do! I’m making him do the poker face whenever! Kidding. Or I should…

INTERVIEW, PETTER JOHN ANDERSSON.

Hey Petter, introduce yourself...

So, My name is Petter. I’m 20 years old, from Sweden and have been living in London since 2 years back.

How did u get into modeling?

Before I moved to London, I went over and got scouted by a fashion scout, who told me to start modeling, but at that time I wasn’t much into it.When I later moved to London, I got scouted again, with the same guy, and i thought I could try it out.

Any significant work of yours that we might recognize?

You might have seen me in magazine such as ID, Collective Magazine, Mykromagazine, Notion Magazine or Dazed Digital. And soon I’ll be seen in Rodeo, Unwind and Metal Magazine.

Name the (designer) names that you've walked for.

I walked For Gareth Pugh, Jean Pierre Braganza, Andrew Mckenzie, Roen, Aquascutum, and Tiger of Sweden.

Who (a male model) would you compare yourself to?

I wouldn’t compare myself to anyone, as I think I got a quite unique look, But people do say that i look like Russian model Danila Polykov.

What's the highlight of your career so far, most memorable moments?
I probably would say, when i opened up the show for Andrew Mckenzie, during Milan Fashion week.

What are you're future plans and what do you want to achieve from modeling.

I always wanted to go To New York, or Japan, so getting a agency there would probably be my next goal, but it is hard as a "long-haired" model.
Walking for designers like Vivienne Westwood, Issie Miyake and Alexander Mcqueen would also be something id love to do.

DIY: LANVIN BEADED TROMPE L’OEIL T-SHIRT.

Thanks Tommy Ton/Tom (can't remember what exactly) for the reminder. Hah. Months ago i started on a DIY project which was never completed. (like any other DIY stuff i do) That for you ladies and gentlemen, was an attempt of a low-end fashion 'couture'. I tried considering the organza as a base etc etc like the actual stuff but I'm impatient and have zero tolerance for beading!

Robbie got the real deal. With pants! I'm really jealous but, i don't understand why he layers with other stuff. Okay i get it. Personal style. Plus, he's a menswear fashion ediitor, no one would dare question them. Hah. Robbie, my closet is empty!

I WANT A SPHINX CAT.

You know, I've always wanted something but there isn't the opportunity to have one or simply you're too poor to have it. Yeah, a Sphinx Cat is one of them. Yes, your squeamish right now looking at these pictures because like the rest of my friends and family, you guys are heartless. Hah, kidding.

Growing up, i had 20-plus hammies (they can't stop fucking), many turtles, five cats, two canary, one neon-orange salamander, many many many fish, half-a-dozen guinea pigs and about five rabbits. Oh and three coloured chicken, red, blue and green. I'm not kidding. They are White Japanese chicken sprayed with colours. Inhumane but necessary to entertain a young kid like me. I think i had a goat and a duck for ahwile . My dad have horses, he trains and then race them.

When we moved to the heartlands, we had to leave all that plus two of my siamese twin cat Coca and Cola. Funny thing was that when we came back 5 years later, one familiar cat greeted us. It was Pola, our first cat. She was like the slut of the town. She fucks but never gets pregnant. She's sweet but no one could touch her because she bites.

My mom plans to retire and she promised me a cat when she get another smaller flat just for the both of us and WE CAN HAVE CATS!!! I want a Sphinx cat. I saw them on a cat show like ten years ago, they're sexy! They're hairless Nicole Richie looking cats. It cost between 1.5-2k minimum. I've chosen a name for it. I'm naming it GrannyDonna. I bet Jesus luz approves and likes them too. It's wrinkly like Madonna's cave.

If you hate them, you're heartless.

COSTUME NATIONAL, SPRING 2010 MENS.

Nothing i like here, except for baby-daddy Mathias. Oh thanks, the Kafeyah trendy stuff on the runway needs a comeback, like Britney Spears. At least we have something to rave about. You just made millions of Kids happy.

BURBERRY PRORSUM, SPRING 2010 MENS.

A Burberry tradition, trench coats are present at almost every season and that's basically the highlight of the whole collection right? Wrong. Closer inspection reveals many details on what seems to be the same trench every season. It's true, I'm shallow.Hah.

Bailey made leopard print on men look appealing. (London gays are killing leopard in africa right now.) I like the dissimilar mood that Bailey present-- Chic nylon trench to a sporty boating men's jacket. The color variation does it for me, I'm in love with the pastels and deep velvet red double-breasted jacket.
