FOREVER 21- LIVE BLOGGING.

My new friend was indeed showing off her Chanel watch, and she told me to marry her husband if I needed a watch like hers. Still contemplating…but I hope that offer won’t expire soon. Kidding.

My station was down and the negative force given out by an unidentified object nearby was giving me the creeps. (Joking, insiders joke! ) No, I was busy with pictures and the store that I didn’t really have the time to update ‘live’ on anything. Plus, everyone was out on a Sunday! So I thought why not get a good coverage and blog later.

A day before the event, Forever 21 sponsored the bloggers with an outfit to be worn on the day itself. (My outfit cost about: 21 + 23 = 44) Perhaps it wouldn’t be much of a challenge for me if I weigh like how I used to a year ago. (The cardigan sleeve ripped apart when I got home) All the blogger were also given an additional hundred dollar vouchers each and goodie bag! Tysm Forever 21.The live blogging was a blast despite the constant battle with aunties for space. I had so much fun bonding with bloggers (who bothered to say hi) and the people there!

Girls, why are you complaining about having nothing to wear?! Head down to Forever 21 at 313@Somerset like asap. There is so many to choose from! Bring me along if you wanna go shopping okay? I want to put that Dries inspired skirt on someone.

LOUIS VUITTON PRESS DAY S2010.

Well I was of course representing MYKROMAG for the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2010 press presentation. This blog wouldn’t come close to getting an invite to a luxury brand press day. I’m very sure of that because this was how the Communications Manager greeted me; “actually, we don’t invite blogs to our events”. I was expecting an introduction; maybe that’s how it works in Singapore? Because I’m pretty sure that Marc Jacobs and BryanBoy are good friends.

Don't get me wrong, i love the brand and i would shave my head to wear those afro wigs but i dislike being disrespected just because I'm young.

FOREVER 21- 313@SOMERSET STORE OPENING.

Part 1 Of Forever21 At 313@Somerset.

Ladies and Gentlemen: (By gentlemen I meant guys who can fit into ladies clothes), our much needed fashion stimulus is finally here! Following today’s store opening, you can call me a recent convert to the brand.

If you thought UNIQLO was huge, wait till you see Forever 21 flagship store at 313@Somerset. Technically it’s smaller, measuring at 16,000 square feet but the four level-shopping space creates an illusion of the biggest clothing store you’ve ever been to!

As a (very opinionated) consumer, I tend to analyze everything from quality of service to interior. A very important but neglected factor of most women’s clothing store is its visual merchandising. I am very pleased looking at the window display; the styling of the mannequin was impressive and the store simply challenges my imagination with its lively interior. (Imagine what I would do to myself in that store if I were a girl. Sigh)

The only weak spot was the warm low ceiling lights on the first floor. Would you mind sweating a bucket for really affordable accessories? Of course not! Give me an empty pool and I’ll sweat for the cheap prices over at Forever21 anytime!

To celebrate the opening of their new Flagship store, Forever 21 is offering special launch prices on their apparel and accessories across all their Singapore stores! So hurry!

BURBERRY ION- BLOGGER FIELD TRIP.

Okay so I was still, according to BagaholicBoy, ‘foaming at the mouth’ after receiving the news that we’re actually going to have a one in a million chance to meet Christopher Bailey-- And then we (Fash-E, RTT, BB and WottonCool girls) were told that we’re going to have a tour around the boutique, that made me foam even more! It was not 31 Rue Cambon but i imagined it to be as fantastic.

The motive of the tour was to pick an outfit so we could wear it on the actual event (live blogging at Burberry) and to do a fun ‘promotional shoot’ to promote the event. (Will blog about it on a separate post) That didn’t exactly happen but we had so much fun and I even more fun bragging about it. Hah. I mean, when will I ever get the chance to sit in their VIP room again no? Or when will I ever have the chance to try on ten different trench coats that’s worth 3k each (!) in an hour?! Since that awesomely-iest day, I’ve been dreaming about Burberry for almost a month.

All I need now is to attend a Burberry show in London next February and life would be a full circle moment. Ok, fat hope but I’ll keep on dreaming and writing to Oprah so she would send me there!

UNIQLO-'TOKYO TO SINGAPORE' SHOW.

The largest UNIQLO fashion show to be staged outside of Japan-- The fashion show featured UNIQLO’s Winter Collection 2009 and exclusive first look at Spring Collection 2010. Look out for the ladies shoe in their Spring 2010 collection; I see thigh-high boots and Jil Sander-esque pumps on the runway. It should be an interesting purchase this spring. (Until the live-journal girls starts buying and wearing them with their vintage bags lah. )

You know how I detest sitting behind everyone else; like monkeys hovering over people’s head trying to get decent photos. While the front row (on the opposite side) were busy rummaging through goodie bags, we were still fixing our camera’s setting. We didn’t get good pictures, but we certainly had one hell of a good time!

UNIQLO- 313@SOMERSET STORE PREVIEW.

When UNIQLO says they’re going to give us a store preview, they really mean it. The mall was still under construction! Us before any one else, from Ritz Carlton, where the fashion show was held, we were chauffeured in a coach to the new store. UNIQLO at 313@somerset is the largest Southeast Asian Store, 17,000 square feet of UNIQLO goodness!

UNIQLO at 313@somerset will be the only store to carry the +J collection in Singapore, also the first in SE Asia to showcase UNIQLO’s baby collection. Other exclusive pieces include collaboration with famed cult designer Mr.Kiminori Morishita.

I can’t hold my excitement any longer, enough of facts! I have to tell you about yesterday! It was madness! We got off the coach, was greeted by many foreign workers (whoa, red carpet moment) and up to the new 313@somerset building for the preview. Everyone was running towards the +J collection, things were off the racks! Seeing so many people grabbing the +J pieces, I was worried that I wouldn’t get my hands on any! People were trying on clothes like mad but we waited till the last minute to shop since it was too hectic to have pictures taken and to try on the stuff. (Which btw, I find it extremely rude for most of the people who were shopping to ignore the UNIQLO representative’s speech.)

This just in: The PR confirmed that there’s a queue of 200 this morning! I suggest you make your way down to UNIQLO at 313@somerset (#03-27 to 34) now to get your hands on the much anticipated +J collection before it’s gone
