BURBERRY SPRING SUMMER 2010 AD CAMPAIGN.

I hate to say it but, i told you so!

''This campaign celebrates our heritage and our timeless Burberry icons. The energy of the images and the dynamic cast reflect the different attitudes and expressions of the Burberry guy and girl.

We've worked again with Emma Watson who has a classic, effortless beauty and is incredibly talented. Alongside Emma we have four British guys; Emma's younger brother Alex Watson, Matt Gilmour, Max Hurd and George Craig.

We always talk about how much fun we have making these images and I wanted to capture some of the excitement that you feel on set when all these different creative attitudes and personalities come together. Mario has shot these as both stills and video so we can share some of that energy with a wider audience”.

BURBERRY ION- BLOGGER FIELD TRIP.

Okay so I was still, according to BagaholicBoy, ‘foaming at the mouth’ after receiving the news that we’re actually going to have a one in a million chance to meet Christopher Bailey-- And then we (Fash-E, RTT, BB and WottonCool girls) were told that we’re going to have a tour around the boutique, that made me foam even more! It was not 31 Rue Cambon but i imagined it to be as fantastic.

The motive of the tour was to pick an outfit so we could wear it on the actual event (live blogging at Burberry) and to do a fun ‘promotional shoot’ to promote the event. (Will blog about it on a separate post) That didn’t exactly happen but we had so much fun and I even more fun bragging about it. Hah. I mean, when will I ever get the chance to sit in their VIP room again no? Or when will I ever have the chance to try on ten different trench coats that’s worth 3k each (!) in an hour?! Since that awesomely-iest day, I’ve been dreaming about Burberry for almost a month.

All I need now is to attend a Burberry show in London next February and life would be a full circle moment. Ok, fat hope but I’ll keep on dreaming and writing to Oprah so she would send me there!

BURBERRY LONDON & BRIT STADALONE STORES.

"We are really excited to open our first ever Burberry London and Burberry Brit standalone stores here in New York, located either side of our iconic America's headquarters at 444 Madison where the Burberry sign 400 feet atop salutes our Britishness across the Manhattan skyline. We designed the stores to have their own individual expression and identity reflecting our customers’ different attitudes and needs. The stores are modern and unintimidating with digital technology used to heighten the experience for the consumer."
- Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer (Previously, the Creative Director Of Burberry. Can someone update the wiki page? Hah.)

Trying my best to distinguish between Burberry London and Brit line without getting a lawsuit: The London line is the familiar classic refinement of fine Burberry tailoring. The Brit being less sartorial, without compromising the Burberry suaveness despite the introduction of denim to its collection.

**Oh while trying to put the right words together, I just realized that the description of both the London and Brit was attached in the email. I feel moronic.**

Burberry Brit -- The disheveled elegant casual expression of the Burberry guy and girl, centered around outerwear, the Burberry check and denim.

Burberry London
-- The tailored and elegant expression of the Burberry guy and girl, centered around outerwear, the black and white Beat check and our key competency in sartorial tailoring.

THANK YOU, BURBERRY.

It all began with an email. An email sent by a certain fairy godmother with the help from a particular generous blogger.
Five years of blogging, I’m still dumbfounded by the power of the Internet. After today, I still am. Twelve hours since the event and I can’t stop thinking about it— The color of Christopher Bailey’s hair, Amelia Awi’s moving praises, Miss Natasha Davis kind gesture, more, more, and more.

It’s like William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, except this play involves a Romeo and a stalker fan— Me blabbering about the arrival of Christopher Bailey and stalking him during the event.
Meeting Christopher Bailey and the great people who shaped the industry was a full circle moment. This opportunity has allowed me to do what I love and taught me that dreams do come true. Thank You to the kind people at Burberry, you have no idea how blessed I feel to be part of the event yesterday.

PS: Mr. Bailey, if you’re reading this, can I design one look for the next menswear collection? Okay, maybe just a trench. No, a bag. No, a pair of sandals!

Hey, dreams do come true no?
