MYKROMAG, NEW BLOG LAUNCH.

No updates—Now you know why. With Ridhwan in the military (not by choice) shooting dove and ‘defending’ the country, ‘blog editor’ responsibility has been pilling up.
Mykromag has launched its new blog, with layout done by Art Director Louis Liu. Same black and white features with minimalist approach, even better content with a fresh layout!

I’ll remind you often with the gist of updates via onesixtynotepad but you’ll have to head down to read. Expect backstage coverage of fashion week, preview collections by designer friends and we’ll let you experience a ‘behind-the-cellphone’ footage by contributors such as Thomas Tait. (Just received a picture of Anna’s head with no hair out of place.)

MYKROMAG ISSUE 003 2009.

It’s been 3 issues already and I still feel the same way I do since the beginning. (Which I’m glad I dragged Ridhwan into this so I won’t be the only one in Singapore crying tears of joy. Heh.) I was gratified and still am to be part of this pool of talents, to be given the opportunity. Definitely something to be proud of, I’m thankful than ever. Issue 003 was by far the most hectic, I’m sure the franticness doesn’t plan to stop at this issue, more to come?

The Mykromag Blog will launch once again with new layout-- with Ridhwan and me as Editors.

I'm still WOW-ing. The endless publicity is overwhelming. Someone smack me with a Birkin already!
So, i was 'shopping' online at TOPSHOP when i'm like. "er,what is Sonny and the team doing here". I scrolled down and i saw our names! For a moment I though I was at the wrong site but no! We're on TOPSHOP BLOG! Never in a million years would i ever imagine my name being somewhere next to a Kate Moss post. Hah.Along with this great entry, MYKROMAG was featured here and here too! MY FIRST GQ MAGAZINE.

Sorry, i just had to choose the one with Zac Efron. I've never really sat down and had a GQ in my hand until today. The price of the magazine is debatable and at the end of the day, my mom bend the edges and i'll automatically dislike that issue. I try to refrain from buying magazines. I might rethink what i've said, if i had the money to actually choose stuff from the editorial/trend/must-have page itself then why not.For those who have plenty, good for you. For now,I think the internet is more efficient.

Anyway, bless my soul ( for you know i'll always regret ) to what I'm about to say. "Dinie, you don't need to aww for heels, not for the latest purse or dress for that matter". i'll leave that to you guys.

I think i like GQ magazine more than anything else right now. No, confirm that, i love GQ.

MYKROMAG ISSUE 001 2009.

Approximately 2-3 years ago, I was approached to contribute for a magazine. Then, it was only a young man's vision. I can still vaguely recall them, they were Sonny, Jean Paul and Majid. I had to turn that down,supposedly because i was ' weaning' and inexperience.

Ridhwan has amazing flow of creativity and talent while i was conceptual and structured. We never have the same opinion and we would disagree over everything. Which, is my opinion makes a great team.We became sort of like a dynamic duo and vow to strive to get where we want to be, together. Venturing solo is not even a choice anymore.We tried very hard to push our work and thankfully it didn't take long for us to get involve in fashion and publication.

We were given two main opportunity by a publication/magazine. An established one, and the other was still a vision. One would boost our income and just sweep us aside after the hype (probably because we're young) and another, allow us to get involve in the process,allowing us to learn and grow together with they product they're producing. We choose to go with the one that believed in our work and provide endless opportunity.

It nothing much, but being involved in it since the first stage makes me really proud of this particular work. Of course, none of this would be possible without my talented partner and the team.

I wouldn't call them THE WATCHMEN. They are indeed the people to watch for. The next generation after Anna and Carine. I was contemplating on life's what not, at the same time talking to Sonny. I am very much aware of the hype of that photo but i didnt expect the respond to be so severe and negative.Why can't we see things in a positive light? I did, i was very inspired till i had a dream about it. I twittered saying i'm saving money to the big apple.To be precise,i wanna meet the team and then go broadway with Ridhwan.



Hah, that beside's the point but,if you really love fashion,why don't we use this picture to aim our success in the industry? These people are young and there are no limits to creativity and self-expression.Having to work with the team myself, i have nothing bad to say. I admire their sincerity in really expanding the industry to a bigger horizon.I'm not sucking up,really.In fact,this is the second time i blogged about it.It's not that i will get his Asian Children's Hair Purse anyway. That joke gave me a fright when he told me that and i was wondering if any of my hair was attached to that bag. No,it was goat hair.Remember Whatever good you put in the universe will come back to you,whatever bad will come back to you as well.
