Networking was petrifying. Not that i've never done that before but representing another party, i had to introduce the magazine and represent it well. The PR, Fiona was the greatest. At 3 in the morning, she managed to get us seat hours before the show! The best part, we don't have to fork out a dime and still manage to drag Nicole in with us. Nicole, i forgot to give you a hug!

Singapore Bloggers, Left to right: Laila of ROCK THE TREND, Xwen of FASH E, Nicole Then of CHERRY MAG and Carlos Keng of VOGUEITE. While Xwen had A for effort for trying to impress Gareth with the dress she ripped,(She went home to change,LOL) Laila whipped up the dress the night before the show! It reminds me of Ungaro Fall 07 clip-on buckle dress!Nicole was in a glittery butterfly top that she made hours before the show. She had to put that sequin one by one.Kidding! Oh, Carlos had all the attention in the tent.Press was interviewing him and all eyes were on him!

SG Bloggers with Ridhwan Sesapar, he was representing Mykromag with me on that day to cover the show.Hey bloggers, do you have any picture of Xwen NOT creeping from behind?? HAHA.
Brandon Seah, Angie & Carlos Keng.
My new BFF (and idol, for now), Dr.Giorgia Lee in Dolce & Gabbana S/S. Bestie, can i have a face lift? lip fillers?Okay i wont ask much, 12 session of Microdermabrasion and facial hair removal.Thats all.

First Seat,Second row, Ridhwan was the only visual com student to ditch FYP for Gareth Pugh and he's loving it! No one sat infront of us, we were lucky to get a front row view!
In picture: Angie, Brandon Seah, Carlos Keng, Dr.Giorgia Lee, Nicole Then, Laila, Ridhwan Sesapar & Xwen.

Ahwile ago checking my Facebook, I got few comments from both Sonny and Jean Paul. He alerted me on Susie bubble's ( or is it spelt with a double 's' after the 'u'?) latest blog post. She mentioned:
Two talents they've highlighted in the first issue of Mykromag are illustrators, Dinie Rahman and Ridhwan Sesapar both based in Singapore, sharing a very similar aeshetic... no surprise that it's their rendition of Giles' S/S 09 Pac-Man helmet that caught my eye.
You guys have to check out the entry. She was spot on, introducing the editors and explaining the 'saga' of the Jak & Jil Watchmen photo. All and all, great team effort by MYKROMAG on the amazing first issue!

The buckle sandal in light grey semi-chromo is giving me depression.Meanwhile, check out my post on the MykroMag blog for the launch of Dr Martens new capsule collection. Will blog about it soon!

I don't know what's even more fucked up- Swine flu or the administrative clerk in Nanyang Academy Of Fine Arts.I was charged 300 bucks by the Finance department and for 'late deferment' and attending school at the beginning of the term. When i did attend class, they barred me from assessment and when i do not, they claimed that i did.
The finance department, lazy to do their 'job' then referred me to the administrative people. The administrative people told me otherwise. That's NAFA for you! The finance department have been bugging me to pay the fines for sometime now but couldn't be bothered as i know this is a typical mistake of lazy administration. After i investigate and argued, few days later they confirmed that it was a mistake. Can you imagine if this was to happen to a naive student and he/she paid for it?
Why do they always do this shit to cause inconvenience to students. Last year, i was pulled out the class because they claimed that i didn't pay administrative, cost and tuition fee. Excuse me, i paid in cash and if i don't how the hell to i get a student pass and my name printed on the enrollment list?
Don't get me start about the librarian!
They want me to replace a book which ive already returned. I even paid the fines. This has been going on since last year. For months i kept on returning to the library and for months i tried to get statement of fine paid but the libabrian confirmed that they wasn't any. I was pissed but i didnt give a shit, so i ask her to track down all my movement and loans. Finally, after doing what she was supposed to do in the first place, she found a record of my paid fines. However, she still said that i did not return my book.I made her do her job and try to track down more information. She was very rude and simply reply " i did you a favour and renew your loan". Did i give her the permission for her to renew my loan? No. When she know she was in the wrong, she claimed that i renew the loan myself. It just doesn't make sense isn't it?
Her advice to me was to come during the term break and search for the book. Now, it's my task to find the book?! Why not make me sit and settle all library loans since you all are so incapable of doing the simplest job? Why would i want to hold on to a book called 'miming for beginners?'. A book like that is totally unnecessary especially when i had alot of practice miming to the librarian.
I've been dealing with this lame ass shit the whole of last week and when i do find that book, I'm gonna use it to scrape her uglyass make-up off her.

Approximately 2-3 years ago, I was approached to contribute for a magazine. Then, it was only a young man's vision. I can still vaguely recall them, they were Sonny, Jean Paul and Majid. I had to turn that down, supposedly because i was ' weaning' and inexperience.
Ridhwan has amazing flow of creativity and talent while i was conceptual and structured. We never have the same opinion and we would disagree over everything. Which, is my opinion makes a great team.We became sort of like a dynamic duo and vow to strive to get where we want to be, together. Venturing solo is not even a choice anymore. We tried very hard to push our work and thankfully it didn't take long for us to get involve in fashion and publication.
We were given two main opportunity by a publication/magazine. An established one, and the other was still a vision. One would boost our income and just sweep us aside after the hype (probably because we're young) and another, allow us to get involve in the process, allowing us to learn and grow together with they product they're producing. We choose to go with the one that believed in our work and provide endless opportunity.
It nothing much, but being involved in it since the first stage makes me really proud of this particular work. Of course, none of this would be possible without my talented partner and the team.
That's a few screen caps but, do check it out on the main website.
