MYKROMAG TEAM

CHRISTIAN WILLIAM VAN DAMME, CHARLES GUISLAIN, SONNY GROO, AYNOUK TAN AND JEAN PAUL PAULA

I wouldn't call them THE WATCHMEN. They are indeed the people to watch for. The next generation after Anna and Carine. I was contemplating on life's what not, at the same time talking to Sonny. I am very much aware of the hype of that photo but i didnt expect the respond to be so severe and negative. Why can't we see things in a positive light? I did, i was very inspired till i had a dream about it. I twittered saying i'm saving money to the big apple. To be precise,i wanna meet the team and then go broadway with Ridhwan.

Hah, that beside's the point but,if you really love fashion, why don't we use this picture to aim our success in the industry? These people are young and there are no limits to creativity and self-expression.Having to work with the team myself, i have nothing bad to say. I admire their sincerity in really expanding the industry to a bigger horizon.I'm not sucking up,really. In fact, this is the second time i blogged about it.It's not that i will get his Asian Children's Hair Purse anyway. That joke gave me a fright when he told me that and i was wondering if any of my hair was attached to that bag. No,it was goat hair.Remember Whatever good you put in the universe will come back to you, whatever bad will come back to you as well.

Forgotten Heartsongs, Journey And Hope

Remember "To play after every storm" - was the late Stepanek's philosophy and so was mine.I either didn't play enough or playtime had to be shared because, life's like that.I need to find the perfect balance.Decision making was somewhat emotional rather than logical thinking and heartsongs combined. All that is about to change but what do i do? Put my boots on and rock the handbag? Why can't it be like last time? My only concern was the day Beckham's euphemism hang loose. (that's penis for you) Really,i was looking forward to that.

I am not content with all life have for me that I'm not living for the moment. For one thing i've understood in the past months, faults are acts of negligence. It makes us more aware or on guard so as not to repeat any mistake, that's when things gets compulsive. It causes constant constrain of irrational thoughts. It is crippling.

I've lost the love i nurtured, the future i mould and the person i shaped myself to be and a bestfriend. Let's not talk about my non-existance social circle. Not that i don't appreciate the life I'm leading now but,why must i forgo one thing for another? I'm contemplating... because when I fall in love,it will be forever. And so is this disease. It just won't go away.

Old me fyt.

Break Of Pants: Full Break, Flare Cut.

Previously we discussed about the break of pants which refers to the in-seam of the crotch area, the part where your pants fall on your shoe, create a horizontal crease-like effect across the pant leg front.Or simply referring to it's length.

A bootleg or flare-cut should never be any of those two (medium and short break) but could be categorized as the full break. It gives the pant leg a deep crease along the front at the top of the shoe sole. This type of cut or break is for the taller man but not necessarily for the taller women. The proportion on a vertically-challenged women can be overcome with a higher waist, shoes with higher platform or both.

Unless you're Jean-paul, the men can't get away with wearing heels (yet). Through trial and error, the full-break pants seems odd on a men's leg. Shoes with elongated sole, pointy front and a little bit of platform at the back is much tasteful in overcoming the problem of looking sloppy. It creates an illusion that your leg can stretch for miles!

Rebel With Puma Fashion Show

Saturday saw me at Marina Square's Lead the Fashion Revolution for the Rebel with Puma Fashion Show, which I'm covering for Dinie's ONE SIXTY NOTEPAD. Opening the show was the golf collection which featured performance-infused fabrics and invisibonding technology, the apparels baring seamless designs for easy movement on the golf course while remaining sophisticated and chic. (Think: White polo shirt, patterned skirt with a high ponytail. )

The segment which I really enjoyed of the show was probably the Motorsports line which was inspired by classical racing and science fiction films that encompass speed, technology and the drive to win such as the 1966 movie "Grand Prix" or "Sin City".

The Ducati leather jacket is easily one of my favourite pieces from the show which is right on trend for Spring. The Trellis frame zip pullers in contrast colour and Ducati wording embossed on backside makes the jacket stylish and agressive-looking. Well, I think every guy should own a leather jacket because of its versatility and longevity. Another worthy mention is the skinny jeans from the Puma x Evisu denim collection which had a really nice wash and cut.

Puma presented hooded windbreakers, knitted graphic sweaters, high-cut sneakers and of course Spring's mandatory staples of summer shorts, ballerina flats, sixties pop-art sneakers, khaki bermudas, crisp polo shirts, boat shoes and flip-flops: a great fusion of prep and sportswear

Yves Saint Laurent F/W 2009.10

Pilati took a less literal approach when revisiting the past-1968 to be exact, the time when Saint Laurent revoke the 60s era by presenting the first biker jacket on the runway. This was hands-down the strongest collection i've seen this fall, portraying women's vision of strength into clothes.Combining a rebellious leather with ironic fragility. The clothes were less marketable as compared to previous collections-with play on proportions, his clothes is not for the average women. He showed his collection with lordliness, making it very focus and consistent.

Balmain Womenswear F/W 2009.10

Decarnin pulled a Christopher Bailey over at Balmain this
fall. The collection was a disappointment and more of the same as the previous season.

With glitterati such as Emmanuelle and Carinne marketing Balmain pieces during fashion week, Balmain's latest collection was a sake of pure commercialism. While eighties revival excess have a peculiar effect, too much then is enough for now.

Jil Sander Womenswear F/W 2009.10

Not part of movement that we've seen this fall, Jil Sander Collection was in the league of it's own. First-half was a homage to Jil Sander and the past with direct aesthetic vision, wondrously  straight forward and profoundly portable. The febuleux lines cut, construction and tailoring was unreal. The later was conceptual. Separating this show into two parts- clothes and concept.Moving cohesively,Simons tok the entire whole collection forward by introducing sublime geometry, striking from my visual perspective.

Casting was indifferent this season as compared to the past shows and this time not doing justice to some garments. The 'conceptual garment' did not take form on the model's thin frame. Shapely model would be best to ameliorate the three dimensional form around the body.
